A Few Special Knitters

Chapter 7 is indeed fortunate in its ladies who are members of the Monday morning work committee.
Left to right:
Sigrid (Sigi) Hendrickson
She is always ready to help, I hardly get a request out of my mouth. She is extremely personable. During functions where others might offer 1 or 2 hours, Sigi will stay for most of the day. She is there to help other members understand a pattern, research a needed pattern etc. Born and raised in Germany, she came to America after the WW II, married, widowed, no children. Sigi was a knitting teacher for TOASTY TOES at North Henderson High School.
Elfreide Reisner
Elfreide called several years ago to ask a question about the knit slipper pattern, She came to a meeting for help. She asked if she could stay and at the meeting's end asked if she could return. She has a sub group under her that she has recruited, through various methods.
She was the one who was extremely helpful in getting the 1st United Methodist Church Men's group in allowing us to take part in their annual autumn craft fair. Because of Elfriede the Sunday School chose TOASTY TOES to be the recipient of its yearly charity two years in a row. As with Sigi she is always ready to work an outside function.
She was born & raised in Hungry, married with children.
Sigrid Ross
Very quiet, very private person, She's our Energizer Bunny knitter. Sigrid has made more than 800 pairs of slippers since being a member of this chapter. She takes home a shopping bag of yarn skeins on Monday and brings in a shopping bag full of slippers the following week.
Sigrid was born and raised in Germany, she married an American business man in Germany after WW II, widowed, no children. Sigrid was a knitting teacher for TOASTY TOES at North Henderson High School.
