On Sat. February 4, members of OPERATION TOASTY TOES, Chapter 7 attended the CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY, for the NC Army National Guard's 105th MP BN at the Arboretum in Asheville, NC.
All members wore our brand new embroidered emblem. They looked great. We were dressed in combinations of red, white and blue. It's gestures such as this that tell the military and others present how committed we are to our country, our military and OPERATION TOASTY TOES.
GI JOE BEAR: Member Marge Reed found him and Sigi Hendrickson made him his red, white and blue "booties" with non skid patches. The military thought he was GREAT. We will display him in the store window graciously supplied by the management of the Blue Ridge Mall.
EXPRESSIONS of GRATITUDE from the 105th MP BN: many of the attending military knew who we were and expressed their appreciation for everything we sent. They want to continue a close relationship with OPERATION TOASTY TOES, Chapter 7.
